Hakuda

Godstrike Leader Yoruichi and Death General of Shadowblood Soifon demostrating Hakuda (Hand-to-Hand Combat)

Hakuda: Hakuda is the general term for close-combat techniques that make use of one's own body as a weapon. High-speed attacks are used to overwhelm the opponent. Physical strength and skill is determined by this class. It also seems to be a combination of several martial arts. The foremost practitioners of this technique are those assigned to the Stealth Force and in Shadowblood, the Shadow Force.

TechniquesEdit

  • Ikkotsu: A powerful punch used by Soifon, Dark Emperor, Aizen, Vaati, and Yamamoto. Using this technique, they are able to destroy much of an opponent's abdomen and sending him or her flying along a a certain area and into a large object such as a Building or a Mountain, thus destroying it.
  • Sōkotsu: Stronger than Ikkotsu, it is a powerful two-fisted punch. The attack in one blow can totally destroy an opponent.

Master Hand-to-Hand CombatantsEdit

Masters of this art can take on average armed opponents and those many times their size easily, and as mentioned before, the Shadowforce are the best-trained Soldiers in Hakuda. The former Squad 2 captain and their surbordinates, or head of the Detention Unit, are most often the premier masters. In particular the Detention Unit head must prove their mastery of Hakuda to even be considered for the position. This is because the Detention Unit's prison, the Maggots' Nest, is a weapons-free zone. Anyone who enters must be able to, or be under the protection of one able to, completely protect themselves with only their bare hands of the prisoners in Shadowblood Castle's Prison cells.
